Happy Wednesday! I want to share a new favorite of mine: Selah Sue. I bought her CD yesterday, she is an amazing singer/songwriter from Belgium with a raspy voice. Nice and relaxing for when you need some escapism during the day or at night :)

This weekend I enjoyed a High Tea at the Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam. It was very relaxing to have such a threat and delight on a Saturday afternoon. The sun was out, so it was a perfect day :)

Last workday of the week, the weekend will start soon! For some reason my Fridays are filled with finishing of three days of work as this is the only day I get to spend without running from meeting to meeting. I finally have a chance to reflect on all those discussions and think about things without being interrupted. Does that sound awful? This weekend I plan to have some quality time with the family and make some plans for a much needed trip. Enjoy the weekend!

Reading

Good Monday, hope you had an incredible weekend! Mine was great, had loads of me-time and finished some much needed reading. I bought the Hunger Games a while ago, but finally took some time to read it. It was totally worth it as I couldn´t  stop reading and finished just in a few days. Am ready for the movie! What have you been up to?

Make room

The week went by so fast...before you know it, you can relax again from a week of work!!
My intentions are simple: no shopping! I work four steps away from the city centre and it has been hard not to peek during my lunchbreaks (let alone not buy). I think I need a break (just a small one). Instead, I will clean up my closed and see what I can live without. Hope you have an excellent weekend!

Fall 2012 RTW

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was nice, did some cleaning, shopping and had a post-bachelorette (hen) party, watching all the wedding movies and pictures of my friend´s wedding. I missed the Grammy´s and am not in New York for Fashion week, so internet is (as always) my biggest friend. I absolutely love the Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2012 collection!! I could wear it right now :). Enjoy the (fashion) week!

Dancing

Almost every Friday night I take a Brazilian dance class, axé (now known as Zumba). It is so good to let everything loose from the week and just enjoy the music, friends and dance steps (it is suprising how quickly you forget them AFTER the class). I can't wait for tonight...but first a full day of work :). Enjoy the weekend!

Macaron

Happy Tuesday everyone! After a fabulous party on Sunday, I still feel the need to relax and sleep for a week or two. Unfortunately I have to wait until the weekend to take that long nap, so I have to make sure to keep my energy levels up (extra vitamins and loads of coffee) and stay warm.

To cheer me up at work, my colleague, who knows I am obsessed with macarons, suprised me the other day by gifting me this super sweet, homemade, macaron key chain! It is so cool, love the polkadots, and you can open it up and store a coin or two in it! Isn´t it adorable?!

Party Prep

Happy Friday all! Almost weekend...can´t wait. It will be a busy one, prepping for my man´s birthday! It will be an intimate family celebration with loads of food, good music an laughter. As it will be snowing here, I am trying to have everything ready before I actually end up in a snow storm (ok maybe not storms, but you now shopping while snowing can be a hassle). But what isn´t a better way to celebrate than looking outside and seeing the snow, while inside having hot, yummy dishes and fun people around you?! Enjoy xoxo

Service

Happy Thursday everyone! It is still below zero degrees in Amsterdam and the streets are less crowded as people are actually scared by the chilly wind outside. Inside, it is pretty cozy and fun and a good old drink will warm you up (this can be hot coco, tea, coffee, irish coffee...you name it). So I´m enjoying my drinks and avoid the streets :)
